Innovate Scotland

HEALTHCARE
 
Sitekit
 
Sitekit is an innovative web software vendor with a focus on health care. They currently provide over 20 NHS Trusts with web information systems. Sitekit Labs, our R&D division is developing new web-based clinical systems in collaboration with Stirling University, MIT and Harvard Medical that enable physicians to reduce by half the number of face-to-face appointments required for routine cases, potentially saving healthcare providers millions of dollars. Sitekit attended Innovate09 to meet potential collaborators: researchers & physicians interested in trialling the system; business partners with complementary products and market reach and investors looking for global opportunities in healthcare sector.

Centre for Health Science
 
Completed in 2009, the £24m Centre for Health Science (CfHS) is a state-of-the-art facility located in Scotland’s Highland capital city, Inverness. The CfHS is one of the first of its kind in the UK bringing together the public, private and academic sectors and is a focus for excellence in health science and biotechnology. The Centre was developed through a collaborative partnership and brings together; research, education, training, patient care and business development all under one roof.
 
The Centre for Rural Health
 
The Centre for Rural Health (CRH) is an academic institution co-funded by the University of Aberdeen and the UHI Millennium Institute. The CRH mission is to advance knowledge of health and health services in rural communities and their research encompasses epidemiology, community engagement, healthcare delivery and technology in rural health.
